The swarms of swallows
That crossed the seas
Returned disappointed and homeless
The poems
Recited by the poets
From above their souls
Became winged and fluttered in the sky
The wars
Which the soldiers waged became medals
Hanging on the chests of the cowards
the sea
Which vowed itself to ships
Its back became loaded with the corpses of the drowned
The wind
That blows from the south
The north citizens enjoy its breeze
Thre flash
That gleamed from heaven
Was a hug of two clouds
أسراب السنونو
التي عبرت البحار عادت خائبة
بلا مأوى
القصائد
التي أطلقها الشعراء من أعالي
أرواحهم صار لها أجنحة ورفرفت في السماء
الحروب
التي خاضها الجنود صارت اوسمة
معلقة على صدور الجبناء
البحر
الذي نذر نفسهُ للسفن ِ
صار ظهره محملاً بجثث الغرقى
الرياح
التي تهب من الجنوب
يتلذلذ ُ بنسيمها اهل الشمال
