I'm not me but I am fine

Life never seems eccentric .

It kicks me with its feet,

That is why I am walking with a crutch,

and I put my back to the wind

While my heart shatters

Like a piece of glass on the sidewalk.

 I no longer have a throat to scream

and to say : 

I am  still fine !!!

I grew up a lot, 

I grew up with sad features

and a pointy  nose.

My mother did not notice that I had one leg,

She had a seizure of crying, 

And she brought me my father's crutch

Who died when I came to this world.

Was his death a protest

That I  being born  a female

I do not know !.

أنا لست أنا ولكنني بخير

الحياة لا تبدو غريبة الأطوار 

وهي ترفسني بقدميها 

لهذا أنا أسير بعكاز

وأسند ظهري للريح 

بينما يتهشم قلبي 

مثل قطعة زجاج على الرصيف 

فما عادت لي حنجرة لأصرخ

وأقول :

أنني لازلت بخير!!!

كبرت كثيرا 

كبرت بملامح حزينة

وأنف مدبب

لم تنتبه أمي أنني بساق واحدة

فقد انتابتها نوبة بكاء 

وجلبت لي عكاز أبي

الذي مات حين جئت إلى الدنيا

فهل موته كان احتجاجا

 كوني جئت أنثى 

لست أدري ؟!!
